Elections and Voting

Register to Vote

Town Residents may come to the Town Office during regular business hours to register to vote or make changes to their current enrollment status. You must bring a photo ID and proof of residency.  Residents should notify the registrar if their name or address changes so that the voting list may be updated. The registrar has the exclusive power to revise and maintain the voting list. Petitions containing signatures of Orono voters should also be presented to the registrar for verification.

 Where to Vote

  • Municipal Street List - Ward/Precinct
  • Ward 1 Precinct 1 voting is held at the Birch Street School.
  • Ward 1, Precinct 2 vote the All Purpose Room at the Memorial Union at the University of Maine Campus
  • Ward 1, Precinct 3 and Ward 2 vote at the Municipal Building Council Chamber, 59 Main Street
  • All polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

The exception is the Municipal and RSU#26 Elections are only held in the Municipal Building Council Chamber for all wards.
